Gardening, Canning, and Pickling

Pictures of our garden.....it has grown since these were taken!   I made  6 pints of pickles this week from our cucumbers.   Maggie LOVES shelling the black-eyed peas.  I am still enjoying lettuce for lunch.   And, squash, tomatoes, onions, peppers are doing great.    This week, I hope to put up black-eyed peas.     One of the joys of summer for me is canning items from the garden, or making jelly from our own plums.   This year, the wind and hail destroyed the immature fruit before it got a chance to ripen.  However, we do still have pears to hopefully harvest in the late summer/early fall.
