I am a Methodist, a mother, and a public school teacher, learning to live in the new role of widow. God has truly sustained me and my family. I like to share about daily family life.

Spring 2009

Views of the new treehouse, plus a view of the yard from inside the tree house. This treehouse was constructed entirely by my daughter and her friend from across the street. They actually did a good job. The wall behind her is actually a sign that Keith made for the city that says Town Hall on the other side.

Fall 2008

I like to refer to these two as the Princess and the Preteen. The preteen half is now adjusted to Middle School. She lost her final baby tooth this week.
We have a Christmas pageant star in our midst; she was a little lamb. In her time off from acting, she enjoys being a cowgirl. The cowgirl vest is the one I wore when I was five.

Winter into Spring 2008

Wow! What a difference a few weeks makes in our weather !! Massive snow storms seem almost surreal now, but they really happened only several weeks ago. Easter was early in arriving this year, and we already are enjoying fresh garden lettuces. Another birthday has come and gone for Magpie. We have a new trampoline and lovely spring wildflowers. I also included 2 pictures from 2004. So much to be grateful for! Thanks be to God.

Bits & Pieces
My oldest daughter is nicely tanned after returning from summer camp, where the sunscreen packed in her bag was never touched.
Playing with the doctor kit on her baby doll.

This photo shows two pieces of a 5-piece bedroom suite we recently inherited from my grandmother. It includes a bed, 2 nightstands, mirrored dresser and chest. It was originally purchased in the late 1950's at a local furniture store, by my grandmother, who took great care of everything and everyone. The girls are enjoying it in their bedroom.

Aaah, Summer
School is finally out, and we are enjoying every minute possible. Lately, the mosquitos here have been absolutely impossible, more aggressive than ever, and as large as small butterflies, so outdoor time includes lots of bug spray (helps a little) and swatting.
Our oldest darling loves drawing and building with blocks. She created this castle in only a few minutes using only her imagination. Our youngest loves her incredible PlayDoh hair machine.
