White Christmas 2009!

We had a wonderful White Christmas this year. It blew in really hard from the west, almost in a straight horizontal fashion. Really beautiful.

Thanksgiving Day

We had so much fun on Thanksgiving Day. We really enjoyed decorating the table; we used stuff from www.thetoymaker.com to decorate.

Making Thanksgiving Candy

The girls made fudge on Saturday using a Carnation Famous Fudge kit. It was very successful. They are enjoying the fudge. Also, Maggie won a prize for bringing in Box Tops for Education to school.

Snuggly Sister Saturday

I took some nice snuggly fall pictures, and a few pictures of a piece of furniture I picked up to hold mail and backpacks, etc. I really like it. Also, I have enjoyed this fall arrangement so much. Sadie tells me this house now feels like home.

Halloween 2009

We had so much fun on Halloween night, until Maggie got sick. We baked a pumpkin cake, and then the kiddos frosted it. Maggie loved the Halloween outfit I made, and wore it a lot during the last month.
I also included a volleyball photo and other pictures I liked.

New School Year 2009

Here are some pictures of the first day of school and one of Maggie a few days later.

We now have 2 weeks behind us and Labor Day to enjoy.

Maggie's first day of Kindergarten

Maggie had a great first day of kindergarten, but the first half hour was a difficult time for her. The picture tells her story. The kids have to meet in the cafeteria and wait to be picked up by their teachers. Maggie disliked the large group time of VBS this summer, and this was much the same.

Today, the second day, she said she went right inside when Keith dropped her off and did NOT cry! Yea for Maggie!

Here's a quick picture of the new paint on the very old headboard (From my own childhood) and a quick picture of Maggie taken by Sadie. The Maggie picture is in her bedroom, and the nice warm glow is from the sunlight coming in filtered by the pink curtains on the west window.

Almost Done!

The builder says to be ready to move in next Friday, August 14th. After that, they will demolish the old house and grade the lawn and put in grass. We even have house numbers on the house today! (awwwww)!
